[সম্পাদনা]ব্যুৎপত্তি
[সম্পাদনা]Derived from প্রাচীন গ্রিক Ἀφροδίτη (Aphrodítē). Alternatively, perhaps an indefinite form of Afërdita (“the daybreak, the dawn”), compound of afër (“nearby, close”) and ditë (“day”), referring to the planet Venus or the morning star (which in any case may have influenced the spelling) (compare Bardhyl).[১] According to W. W. Tarn, প্রাচীন গ্রিক Ἀφροδίτη (Aphrodítē) may even be a loan from a neighboring language;[২] see that entry for more.
