[সম্পাদনা]From bjare "bear". Its origin stems from Norse mythology and is found in Saxo Grammaticus verses. The famous verse Bjarkemål describes the exploits of Bjarke (Bödvar Bjarki) and the other warriors of Rolf Krake's court.
