Wiktionary heavily uses diverse scripts from numerous languages. It has adopted Unicode (UTF-8) as the "encoding" scheme for its websites. In order to view this Bangla version of Wiktionary, you need to have your computer set up to see web pages encoded in Unicode Bangla scripts. To do this, you need to have a Unicode capable browser and Unicode Bangla fonts. Both Internet Explorer and Firefox's latest versions support viewing Bangla scripts once you install the fonts.

First, go to your browser's "view" menu and set the "character encoding" or "encoding" feature at: Unicode (UTF-8).

Second, download Unicode Bangla fonts from the web and install them on your operating system; quite a few of these fonts are freely available.

If you are using Windows XP and IE and still cannot see Bangla, go to Tools-->Internet options-->Fonts, choose Bengali from the Language Script pulldown menu and select one of the available Bangla fonts in your system and see if it works.

If you want to contribute in Bangla you have to use unicode compliant Bangla softwares like Shabdik, Avro or Akkhor etc.

If you do not know bangla keyboard layout it is not a problem. Many softwares now a days support phonetic transliteration from English to Bangla. Moreover using Shabdik you would be able to choose from a list of different words coming from integrated dictionary. Other softwares which support english to bangla transliteration are Akkhor and avro.
